Its length is 152 meters. This corridor divides the inner and outer grounds and connects the Eastern and Western sectors.

There are three gates: Kinekei Mon (East) representing the morning, Chūjaku Mon (Center) representing Mid-day and Gyokuto Mon (West) representing night.

Monks clean the corridor every day after breakfast and lunch.
