This tea house is located in the north west corner of the Shiun garden.

Under the eaves, there is a calligraphy of “Ishō” by the 1st abbot Rev. Sengai Ekidō Zenji. This tea house was designed by tea master Hoan Takahashi. He designed numbers of tea houses as “Ikoan” in Kyoto’s Kozanji.

This one was designated a tangible cultural property of Yokohama city on November 5th 1996.
